ADA Scientific Sessions

Objective

The American Diabetes Association's (ADA) Scientific Sessions is a five-day event providing researchers and healthcare professionals with a platform to exchange ideas and discover the latest advancements in diabetes research, treatment, and care. It stands as the world's largest scientific gathering dedicated to diabetes research, prevention, and care. The objective was to  build a creative concept and theme for the 80th Annual Scientific Sessions to be held in Chicago whereby ADA will activate our new brand platform “Connected for Life.”

Design Solution

By employing Design Thinking methodologies, we gathered feedback from members to delve into the essence of Scientific Sessions. This guided the development of the central theme: "passion. inspiration. courage. in our DNA." Incorporating ADA reds with the infinity symbol, we conveyed the interconnectedness of these elements within our DNA. A mood board was crafted to showcase core messaging and graphic themes, highlighting color schemes and branded imagery on tradeshow displays and environmental graphics.

Results

ADA stakeholders were delighted with the new graphic theme for the Scientific Sessions, giving swift approval to the concept and creative direction for implementation.
